Prior to the formation of the Grodman Family Foundation, the principals have been involved in other philanthropic endeavors on their own, through collaborations or associated entities, some of which are described below.

• Endowment of the Grodman Dual Degree Program at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, supporting medical students who wish to pursue degrees such as in Business, Public Health and Masters in Science (Global Health), in order to prepare for careers reflective of the changing nature and demands on the medical profession.


• Creation of the Working Group on Global Health and Security at Columbia University, fostering collaboration between schools and disciplines across the University to address issues of Global Health Security.


• Co-Founder of the Program of Vaccine Education at Columbia University, including vaccine focused courses across the university and the inaugural Symposium on “COVID-19 Vaccine Development, Strategy and Implementation held February 2021.


• Provided free Laboratory Testing for Actors Fund Hirschfield Free Health Clinic, New York, NY, from 2001-2015
